Industry Partnerships

Jersey City Medical Center—Barnabas Health (JCMC-BH)

The partnership provides entry-level employees with an opportunity to grow within the JCMC-BH organization and to create jobs in the Jersey City community. The medical center is providing training that will enable entry-level workers to advance and move up within JCMC-BH. By doing so, JCMC-BH can then hire more jobseekers from the community. JCMC-BH is providing personal and professional career development programs including work/life balance, work ethics, and English improvement classes. It also offers child care reimbursement for those who need it.

New Community Corporation Auto Mechanics (NCC)

NCC’s employer partners help design curriculum, provide internship opportunities, host site visits at their dealerships, visit the training program to encourage participants, and consider program graduates for employment. Additionally, NCC has an active advisory committee that meets twice per year. Through NCC’s network of supportive services, program participants have access to housing services, emergency food assistance, and case management / counseling services. Upon completion of training, program graduates are awarded Ford maintenance and light repair certifications/credentials.
